The Glen Cove Hall of Fame was established in 1983 to honor the achievements of Glen Cove athletes and athletic administrators. To date, over 225 people have been enshrined into the Glen Cove Hall of Fame and their names appear on the beautiful monument at the entrance to John Maccarone Memorial Stadium.

The John Maccarone Scholarship Fund was set up in honor of the City’s late Recreation Supervisor and founder of the Glen Cove Hall of Fame to reward outstanding graduating student-athletes at Glen Cove High School for their athletic and academic achievements. The scholarships are awarded every June at the Glen Cove High School Varsity Sports Awards Night. Over $150,000.00 in scholarships have been awarded throughout the years.
